Drawing inspiration from the region’s rich history and vibrant arts community, MGM Springfield has curated a permanent art collection woven through all elements of the resort. The collection showcases commissioned and procured works by local and international creators including Mia Pearlman, Jeppe Hein, Springfield natives Marlon Seymour and John Simpson, and others. Ranging from large-scale sculptures and mosaics to intricate lithographs, the collection pays homage to the city’s past with pieces that give a nod to Springfield’s industrial roots and others inspired by famed locals including Dr. Seuss and Emily Dickinson.
The Lobby
MGM Springfield’s lobby is the prelude for the resort’s overarching design philosophy, creating a welcoming arrival for guests to congregate and socialize. Drawing Main Street’s historic character indoors, the lobby features familiar red-brick accents, eclectic area rugs, soaring glass windows and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves filled with vintage novels and leather-bound classics. MGM Resorts collaborated with Avenue Interior Design to bring the spectacular lobby to life.
Casino
MGM Springfield’s 125,000-square-foot casino floor features approximately 2,550 slot machines, 120 gaming tables, a poker room and high-limit VIP gaming area.
The Plaza
MGM Springfield’s outdoor plaza is the anchor of community spirit in Springfield’s revitalized downtown neighborhood. Western Mass News – In a special partnership, Western Mass News has a standalone studio on The Plaza that broadcasts select news of the day, and invites guests to step on set and take a selfie in the “Western Mass News Experience.”
The Armory
The Armory was originally built for the Massachusetts Militia and later used by the Massachusetts National Guard. The Armory is now used as stunning event space, activated with pop-up art galleries, seasonal events, concerts and more.

The restaurant celebrates the best of coastal Italian cuisine and features bountiful East Coast ingredients. Fresh seafood, handmade pastas and brick-oven pizzas are essential offerings, and specialties including charcoal grilled fish, crudos and lighter Italian bites complete the colorful menu.
The Chandler Steakhouse – The name and setting of The Chandler Steakhouse holds a special place in Springfield history. The restaurant is located in the former Union House Hotel, later renamed The Chandler Hotel. Built in 1846, it hosted many notable guests including U.S. President James K. Polk and President Buchanan. The Chandler Steakhouse invites guests to savor the finest seafood in a sophisticated-yet-modern steakhouse concept situated in the landmark location’s first level. The Chandler Steakhouse offers cuts of meat made with 100-percent Midwest Angus beef, dry aged in-house for 21 days. Signature dishes such as Northwest Salmon, Whole Steamed Lobster and Tomahawk Ribeye complete the menu alongside creative takes on classics.
